Earthwork and excavation provide the foundation for commercial development by preparing sites for construction. As your concrete subcontractor, we self-perform earthwork services for developers building throughout the DFW metroplex.
Our earthwork scope includes site clearing, mass excavation, cut-and-fill balancing, rough and fine grading, compaction, and subgrade preparation. We coordinate with civil engineers on cut and fill requirements and set finish grades with laser and GPS-guided equipment so drainage slope matches the civil plan within tolerance rather than being eyeballed off a stake.
North Texas soil conditions require expertise in handling expansive Blackland Prairie clays, managing moisture content, and achieving proper compaction. Our crews moisture-condition subgrade ahead of compaction rather than compacting clay at the wrong water content, which is what causes pad settlement and slab cracking a year or two after occupancy. We also install and maintain erosion and sediment controls per the project's SWPPP so a site stays in compliance through every rain event during construction, not just at the pre-construction inspection.
We serve commercial and industrial developers with earthwork services that prepare sites for foundation construction and site improvements throughout East Dallas County and the DFW metroplex.
